My education: Bachelor Degree in Porto University, Masters Degree in Basel Hochschule für Musik and all my other teachers such as Yossif Grinman, Pavel Vernikov, Raphaël Oleg and Ivry Gitlis.
My favorite music composition: It is extremely hard to give an answer to that question and it feels very often as if my favorite composition is the one I’m playing at the moment. Still, if I had to choose some work that had a special impact on me, probably, I would go with Bach 2nd Partita for solo violin and Mahler 9th Symphony.
My greatest musical experience: Fortunately, I had quite some special musical moments and I do hope to have many more to come. Playing Mahler 9th and 10th with the International Mahler Orchestra were definitely some of those.
My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: I must say that all my first year was pretty unusual with the COVID pandemic. Getting the information that the opera was going under lockdown just before the 2nd act of a performance of Mozart’s Idomeneo was a special moment.
When I’m not playing in the Kapel: When I’m not playing in the Kapel, I love playing chamber music with nice people, as well as I do love physics, reading and eating.
