My Education: Sibelius Academy and The Royal Danish Academy of Music Diploma and Soloist Class.
My favourite musical composition: The operas of Richard Strauss, Puccini and Mozart. Mozart is undoubtedly unique, but there would be no life without Bach. He is the greatest.
My greatest musical experience: It’s probably Mahler’s 5th with Okko Kamu and Orkester Norden in 2001. That’s when I decided that I was going to be a principal second violin. The famous trumpet solo was played by Nikolaj Viltoft, who is now principal trumpet in the Kapel: who knew then that we would be playing in the same orchestra and in the same chairs,10 years later!
And then of course countless evenings in the pit, whether we are playing Tosca, Der Rosenkavalier, The Marriage of Figaro or Die Frau ohne Schatten.
My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: Funny things happen in the Kapel EVERY evening. Our atmosphere is uniquely special.
When I’m not playing in the Kapel: Outside of ice-hockey (following) season, I can be found experimenting in the kitchen and making food for my family or playing some Jimi Hendrix on guitar.
