Jeppe Lindberg Nielsen
My education: The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus with Martin Schuster and prof. Kristian Steenstrup, Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe with prof. Reinhold Friedrich and The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen with Jonas Wiik and Nikolaj Viltoft.
My favorite musical composition: Operas by Puccini and Strauss, Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev and Mahler’s sixth symphony.
My greatest musical experience: Meeting Mariss Janssons playing Mahlers second symphony and playing Pictures at an Exhibition with the Royal Danish Orchestra on tour to Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: The first time I played an opera with this orchestra back in 2013. It was fantastic! Verdi’s Otello. And everytime we get to play music on stage or backstage then there’s often something unusual to do.
When I’m not playing in the Kapel: I teach trumpet at MGK and play chamber music. In my spare time I like to be with family and friends, brew beer and follow sports.
