My education: I entered the Fyenske Conservatory of Music in 1980 where I studied until 1984. After my conservatory studies, I spent 2-3 years studying privately in Paris.

My favorite musical composition: I have so many! Mozarts clarinet quintet, Schuberts Octet, Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time, Rosenkavalier…etc etc

My greatest musical experience: I have had so many wondeful experiences with Det Kongelige Kapel. Some of my favourites have been our concerts with Andris Nelsons in august 2008 and Sir Simon Rattle in 2013.

My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: The first pit rehearsal for our last production of Parsifal. No one told me that the first entire minute of the production would be in total darkness and that I would need to memorise my part! A study in loss of control……

When I’m not playing in the Kapel: I am either teaching or kissing my wife, Marianne.
