My Education: Diploma of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow. Soloist class in Hannover.

My favorite musical composition: Usually it is what we are in the process of currently studying, otherwise Der Rosenkavalier.

My greatest musical experience: Playing with great conductors such as Berglund, Solti and Rattle.

My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: The time that a sable flew off the stage into the pit during Romeo and Juliet and landed on my stand-partner’s violin. Despite a strange expression on his face, the conductor just went on. Fortunately no-one was hurt, and the instrument just suffered a scratch in the varnish and a broken string.

When I’m not playing in the Kapel: I’m often to be found searching for fossils, taking photographs or traveling far from the beaten path.
