Linda Aburto Hernandez

My education: DKDM Copenhagen, Diploma and Soloist class. Private studies in Vienna.

My favourite composition: Swan Lake, Bach Solo Sonatas and Partitas for violin, Brahms violin sonatas, and the opera Rusalka by Dvorak.

My greatest musical experience: Playing with Simon Rattle and hearing a recital by Maxim Vengerov in Vienna. I have always been inspired by their energy and musicianship.

My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: I dont necessarily have one moment that sticks out in my mind, but was told by a colleague once that the Kapel played piano for an entire performance as a form of protest. I would have loved to experience that.

When I’m not playing in the Kapel: I practice…… oh yeah, and I also have a life outside of music 🙂 I have a husband and 2 children, take modern ballet classes, and l love knitting, baking, and cooking.
