Mads Drewsen
My education: I studied from 1991-1996 at the Royal Danish Conservatory under Prof. Bent Lylloff, Søren Monrad and Morten Friis as well as private studies from 96-98 with Daniel Druckman from the New York Philharmonic.
My favorite musical composition: Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Ravel: Daphnis e Chloé, Puccini: Tosca and La Boheme.
My greatest musical experience: Any time something magical happens. Whenever the level of a performance elevates and only focus, concentration, love, and a little bit of luck is left. It makes all the hours in the practice room worth it.
When I’m not playing in the Kapel: I teach at the Royal Danish Conservatory and have a little recording studio in my basement where I play around and make pop music. Aside from that, I go running and spend time with my family.
