Johannes Undisz

My education: I was born in Weimar and started my education at the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere with Reiner Heimbuch and Ralf Ludwig. In 2009 I finished my studies at the Universität der Künste in Berlin with Prof. Chr.-Friedrich Dallmann. Before I went to Denmark I played on contract in the Staatstheater Darmstadt and the Teatro Municipal de Santiago.

My favorite musical composition: I hope to play Hänsel und Gretel one day in Copenhagen. It was played last time 1964 in our orchestra.

My greatest musical experience: The Alpensinfonie with 20 Hornplayers and Hartmut Haenchen we played at the beginning of 2012 was a concert I will remember a for long time.

My most memorable/funny/unusual experience in the Kapel: I got called in during my probation time to play Alban Bergs opera Lulu in the General rehearsal to sight read because my collegue got sick. My collegues had something to laugh at that day but not me! I have never been so nervous before!

When I’m not playing in the Kapel: If the weather is good I like to ride my racing bike through the Danish countryside.
